Thought number one:
Successful people are naturally optimistic. Now does one just happen to become naturally optimistic? Well, you can’t… Becoming naturally optimistic is a process over a longer period of time. Some people feel it after 1-2 weeks and for some people this takes years.
Thought Number Two:
People who experience good confidence and feel they can get the most out of life are opportunity seekers. They base their lives on success and always feel great about waking up in the morning. They see exactly the same things as you or anybody else. The only difference is what they do with the information they get in front of their eyes.
Thought Number Three:
They experience the now. They are happy, why? Not because they have a new car or good looks. It is because they have an incredible ability to “overcome” any negative emotions. It’s very hard to disable or completely remove any feelings, but there are many different ways to get over negative emotions. Living in the present is a great way to do exactly this.
Thought Number Four:
“Who cares what other people think?”. If you want success you cannot be afraid of having people dislike you for whatever reason. This is because there is absolutely no way in the world that you can please everybody. Any attempt to please all will fail miserably. No doubt about it. That is the same in all areas of life. Some people like cats, some people like dogs, some people like horses. Everybody is different! If you are afraid to be different then you are not living by thought number four.
Thought Number Five:
The confidence to differentiate. If you want to be confident you have to have the ability to differentiate. Don’t be exactly like everybody else! Confident people have their own opinions and are not afraid to share them. There are over 60% of the population that suffer from the fear of not expressing their true thoughts.
Thought Number Six:
A powerful and confident man or woman is not afraid to say ‘no’. In order to be totally confident in yourself, you have to have strong enough values and goals to have the ability to say no. If you cannot say no then it is time to establish some more goals, morals, and values for yourself. Strength comes from within.
Thought Number Seven:
The thought is the foundation of everything that happens in my life. This might sound like a total cliché, but hey. It’s still true. What you think about is what happens. I witness this all the time myself. Whenever I feel bad, everything goes wrong. Whenever I feel good, everything goes right. Most people can relate to these things happening. So, in order to be truly confident and sure of yourself you must have a strong foundation of beliefs and mindset to what you are willing to accept and what you are not willing to accept.
Thought Number Eight:
The ability for acceptance. A truly confident person knows that the past is the past and the future is only speculation of what will happen. Have you ever seen the weather forecast and planned a huge trip only to end up in puddles of water instead of seeing the sun like you where supposed to? The ability to “let go” is a great way to get good confidence. Accepting that the weather won’t change, the traffic today won’t change and the way your dog thinks won’t change. The only thing you have control over is yourself.
Thought Number Nine:
Realize that what is, IS… There is nothing you can do about 90% of the things you are upset about. If you think about it for a moment. Can you change that your pizza was burnt already? Or did you learn that 10 minutes in the microwave was a little bit too long for baking a pizza? Can you change that your flat tire is for a fact flat? No, you cannot change what is constant. There is a famous quote: “Change is the only constant thing in the world”.This is true! And get good confident you must have the ability to realize that what is, is!
Thought Number Ten:
I have all the time in the world to do what I need to do. This thought only rings true for some problems, but think about it. People are always looking for a quick fix or a solution to a problem they cannot solve in the amount of time they want to fix it in. It is impossible to lose 150 lbs in 3 days. A confident person realizes that in order to lose weight they have to accept the fact that it is going to take some time. And while that time is being used towards doing what they have set their mind to do, they accept the fact that this is where they are and no matter how much they tell themselves otherwise… Now isn’t going to change.
