So, talk to your dentist about using some of the following techniques to help you get a brilliant smile:
1. Cosmetic whitening
You can use an off the shelf tooth whitener, and many people do. However, an often faster, more effective, and better looking option for a whiter, brighter smile is to use dental cosmetic whitening, or in other words have your dentist whiten your teeth.
People who have deeper stains on their teeth, and want to get rid of those stains, and have a brilliant smile should visit a dentist for dentist teeth whitening. Dramatic whitening is possible, when you visit the dentist for cosmetic whitening it usually involves bleaching or laser whitening. In-office bleaching has the advantage over other versions of tray whitening as it involves taking impressions of the teeth and then making a customized tray designed specifically to fit the mouth. This is good because then less bleach leaks out and irritates the gums, and you get a more even whitening. So, once your trays are made by your dentist, for the next couple of weeks, you will fill the tray with bleaching gel and wear it for a specified amount of time each week.
Laser whitening gives you the fastest results when it comes to getting a brilliant smile by whitening. With laser whitening, the dentist will put a lip holder in your mouth to keep your lips from touching your teeth. Then, your dentist will paint a gel on your teeth, and shine the laser on it, the length of time that the laser is shone of the tooth depends on how deep the stain is. Usually the light will be shined on the teeth for one hour. The light activates the chemicals in the gel, which in turn whitens the teeth.
2. Dental implants
A dental implant can really help you get a more brilliant smile. A dental implant is an artificial tooth root topped with an artificial tooth. Your dentist can replace missing, or dead teeth in your mouth with working, natural looking teeth. So, if you have lost teeth due to injury, illness, or accident, your dentist can still help you get a brilliant smile with dental implants.
3. Braces
You can beautiful, healthy teeth that still don’t give you a brilliant smile because your teeth are crooked. However, many adults do not think they should get braces even if their teeth are crooked because they do not want to feel like they are in high school. However, talk to your dentist about invisible braces. If you get invisible braces, your dentist will provide you with clear aligners that work to discreetly move your teeth back into place. Invisible braces, unlike real braces, are also removable, so, if you have a big business meeting, and don’t want to wear braces to it, you can take them off for an hour or two.
To be honest, there is a lot your dentist can do with cosmetic dentistry to give you a brilliant smile. So, if you have otherwise healthy teeth, talk to your dentist about making your smile more brilliant with cosmetic dentistry. Whether your smile needs a more serious form, such as surgery or implants, or whether you just want to brighten your smile a little with whitening, your dentist has the tools and resources to help you get a brilliant smile.
